Namm Moves Winter Show To June, Citing Pandemic

The 2023 NAMM Show is the industry’s largest platform uniting the global music, audio and entertainment technology communities. Experience the latest products, groundbreaking education and exciting concerts – only at the NAMM Show. The Winter NAMM Show has been moved to June 2022. It has been postponed due to the Corona epidemic.
The National Association of Music Merchants has postponed the 2022 Winter NAMM show. The annual event, which was canceled as an in-person meeting in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, will now take place between June 3 and 5 instead of January 20 and 23 as previously announced. The show will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
Namm Show Returns To Anaheim As A Streamlined, Safety First Live Event
The change in date means there will be no separate summer and winter NAMM shows. Instead, they will be a single event, known as the NAMM Show, that will combine the best of both conventions. NAMM is postponing Winter NAMM due to the coronavirus pandemic, and also to account for new product developments and launches.
“The health and safety of our members is top of mind, and after listening carefully to businesses here in the U.S. and around the world, the new data will help members maximize their opportunities and accelerate change times, both in new products and how they come to market,” said Joe Lamond, of NAMM. CEO and Chairman said.
As in 2020, the coronavirus pandemic forced many event organizers to change their plans for 2021. For example, the New York Auto Show was canceled in August. Recently, Riot Games announced that the 2021 League of Legends World Championship will be moved from China to Europe due to travel restrictions.
