Wake Tech’s Western Wake Campus will move from its current leased campus to a permanent campus in Southwest Wake County. The 34 acre lot is conveniently located at the intersection of N.C. Highway 55 and NC Highway 540 Triangle Expressway, near USA Highway 1. Construction of the first facility will provide a permanent location for existing campus activities, including University Transfer degree programs. The new Entrepreneurship Center will be a small business resource center and home to the National Community College Entrepreneurship Association. The new Workforce Development Center will house IT and game development labs and provide a flexible industrial/biopharma training space to support the dynamic growth of jobs in Apex, Cary and Holly Springs.

Wake Tech’s RTP campus has become a prime attraction for new and high tech companies growing in the Research Triangle region. After two years of first physical ceremonies due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wake Tech held two in-person ceremonies at the Scott Northern Wake campus on May 7, 2021. He chose not to attend, and alumni family and friends who were unable to attend in ceremonies, they can watch online.

The Oral Care program is a competitive, limited-place program with only 24 places available each year starting in the fall semester. Applicants must apply to the program annually if not accepted the first time; there is no waiting list. The program is very demanding and highly competitive, so acceptance is not guaranteed.
