For last minute changes to the event, check this page and the college’s Facebook page SWE welcomed me freshman year through the SWEets Mentoring Program My advisor and I achieved gold status every semester because we wanted free t-shirts What I didn’t realize was how SWEeties helped me with my confidence socially, academically and professionally. I signed up to be a mentor for SWEeties and signed up to be SWEeties Chair on a whim! Luckily I was offered the post of Jodi Chair It opened my eyes to the hard work and true dedication that goes behind the scenes to make SWEies happen. I plan to run this program next year through the position of President-Elect, and I’m thankful to have that as President! Select I am once again in awe of the SWE organization and how it affects not only the students, but also the Knoxville community, which I love to do. Volunteer with social events with SWE to get to know my peers SWE has really enhanced my college experience by giving me a goal that is bigger than just getting a degree “
“Since my freshman year, SWE has been an important part of my college career. The SWEeties Mentorship Program has provided me with personal support and guidance from fellow SWE members who know what I’m doing. A passion for psychology has inspired me to become a mentor the following year. | SWE has given me the opportunity to grow as an engineer, mentor, and leader. Most importantly, SWE has provided me with a network of young women. Encouraging engineers!”

“SWE has had a huge impact on my college experience! It has given me the confidence to pursue opportunities professionally and personally – something I never would have done before. VP Fundraising is something I could never have imagined. Life. My life.” It’s my first year, but I love being a part of this group and working to support other women who are going through the same challenges as me. I’ve also made some friends through my involvement in SWE and I’m so grateful to have built a community here! “
“SWE has been a grassroots organization and foundation for my college career. I joined SWE my freshman year and became a member of the SWEeties and have been an advisor in the SWEeties program ever since. I love SWE and I love what SWE has to offer. STEM Women and Women Associates not only have opportunities professionally (career development workshops, lunches with industry, company-sponsored GBM, etc.), but also opportunities to socialize and network among other engineering women. I love the SWE community and how open the organization is to new members. How open and supportive we are to our members. I’ve met some of my closest friends through SWE and encourage others to get involved so they can create their own SWE experience.”
“The Society of Women Engineers is an amazing organization and I’m proud to have been involved since the beginning of my college career. The community is welcoming and inspiring, welcoming people, and the officers and president are constantly planning amazing events and holding them to such high standards. I am so excited to be giving back to this community as the Vice President of Volunteers for the year!”

“SWE has been a great part of my college experience. It allowed me to meet great friends through SWEeties, TETs, and conferences. Through SWE, I’ve been able to grow personally and professionally, and SWE has given me so many opportunities. It’s a great community with endless support and encouragement. SWE has developed my passion, and I look forward to inspiring others. People are also what SWE is for me. done.”
“SWE is a great organization that has allowed me to network with other women in engineering. I joined freshman year when everything went virtual. Last year I became an EECS Ambassador which allowed me to learn more about my major and interact with more colleagues. I Love the activities, volunteering and camaraderie at SWE.Last year I volunteered almost weekly with the SWE group at Pond Gap Elementary School.
SWE is easily the best part of my college experience Attending First Class has been the best decision to help me navigate and develop my academic and professional skills. SWE has given me the opportunity and confidence to grow into this leadership position as VP Fundraising I am forever grateful for this organization and its wonderful members, and I can’t wait to fulfill this role to the best of my ability! “

“Joining and getting involved with SWE has been the best decision of my college career! I came to college as a first-generation student and was very nervous if I would fit in, but SWE has quickly become my greatest source of friendship and experience. Since I’ve been in engineering is part of a program that emphasizes women in engineering of all ages and continues to give back to the community to further develop future women in engineering.
