Unlv Spring 2023 Calendar – The Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (at UNLV) is a member-driven learning community of more than 1,800 retired and semi-retired adults. Our members continue to be lifelong learners, contributing to a program rich in content, shared interests, and life experiences. In addition to our regularly scheduled classes, UNLV offers a variety of special events, interest groups, and other activities for members. Our community is made up of people of all skill levels, and there are no education requirements to attend classes and events – just a desire to share and build knowledge.
About five months after I lost my wife, I spent some time at the mall and my friend Dawn told me about it. He said I would really like it and he was absolutely right. I wasn’t so sure when she told me about it at first, but Dawn told me I could attend for a couple of hours. I did it once and realized it was really good. Someone suggested I take Fred Peters’ class at NASA, but I didn’t think I’d really be interested in science. But guess what? Once I sit on one, I haven’t missed a class since!
