Political Science Internships Summer 2023 – Internships provide opportunities for students to strengthen and diversify their academic preparation. Internships can benefit students in many ways, the most important of which is hands-on experience of how their academic preparation relates to real work settings. Through internships, students can discover new areas of interest and gain insight into the subject they want to enhance their academic studies.
Some students may be eligible for academic credit toward their undergraduate degrees. More information on academic credit for the programs is below.
Political Science Internships Summer 2023
If you plan to enroll in POL 192A/B or / or POL 193 for winter 2023 credits, the application deadline is Friday, January 13, 2023. Be sure to submit your completed applications on or before the deadline. Before submitting your application, please review the eligibility information for POL 192 and POL 193 carefully and ask the questions below frequently. You will not owe anything in applying, and you must complete the loan in the same quarter in which you apply. Capital Scholars Program
To apply for POL 192 and/or 193 credits, email the following documents as attachments to [email protected]. Remember to include your name in the subject line and file attachment header.
During the academic year (fall, winter, and spring semester), political science students may earn internship credits through a faculty-administered course (POL 192A or 192B). Enrollment in POL 192A or 192B is based on approval of application materials. You will not owe anything in applying, and you must complete the loan in the same quarter in which you apply. The application is due in the first week of instruction for the quarter in which you plan to take the credits.
POL 192A and 192B allow students to earn multiple units for participating in up to two internships. Students may receive credit by first enrolling in POL 192A. No unit is based on the number of hours per week per quarter. Now, both POL 192A and 192B are set as variable units, so you can adjust your number of units to mean how many hours per week you complete in your zero.
Berlin Internship Summer
Applications are reviewed by a faculty supervisor. If you have been approved, you will receive your key registration information from your advisor. Once you’re registered, you’ll add Canvas pages with your resume and a chance supervisor will contact you. You also need to choose the correct number of units per manufacturer’s card. Note that POL 192A or 192B is not a weekly course (in-person or virtual). POL 192 requires academic work to be completed during the quarter; Track the course through Canvas. The work load will be adjusted accordingly according to the number of units completed at that time. Both POL 192A and 192B are graded P/NP (Pass/No Pass). By completing the assigned work at a passing grade, you will earn a “P” grade.
Political Science – Students must complete a public service internship and research experience as part of a required major. A total of 6 internship units are required. No unit of 6 is equivalent to 18 hours/week of internship work.
POL 193 (2 units) – Political-Public Works students also have a required research component; Only P students complete POL 193. POL 193 is recommended to be completed in conjunction with POL 192A/POL 192B, but may be completed in the following term. For POL 193, you will present a more rigorous and in-depth academic study of a related issue. Note that POL 193 credits are not awarded for assisting a faculty member with research, working in a laboratory, conducting independent research, or completing an honors thesis. If you would like to receive credit for POL 193, please enter your email address in the form! POL 193 requires academic work to be completed during the quarter. POL 193 has no course; Cartoon business through Canvas. A faculty supervisor will assign these assignments and grades. 193 POL is offered as a courtesy letter.

UC Center Sacramento is the University of California’s teaching, research and public service site, located one block from the State Capitol building. Operated by UC Davis, UCCS offers a unique academic program in public policy to students across the 10-campus university system. The program offers students the opportunity to study in and around the state through seminars and internships. I advise a Political Science Advisor to find out how these programs may fit your needs, larger or smaller, before you participate. If you have any direct questions about the program, we recommend that you review the UCCS website and connect with staff. If you are enrolled at UCCS, you do not need to submit an application to the Department of Political Science for these internship credits.
Usc Center For The Political Future
Washington’s program provides an exciting opportunity for qualified undergraduate students to combine their careers with a unique internship experience. Students majoring in any major have the opportunity to gain experience with teachers and experts in their areas of interest. I advise a Political Science Advisor to find out how these programs may fit your needs, larger or smaller, before you participate. If you have any direct questions about the program, we recommend that you review the UCDC website and connect with staff. If you are enrolled at UCDC, you do not need to submit an application to the Department of Political Science for these internship credits.
Quarterly Experiences in Augie Square is a themed career fair that combines classes, internships and community engagement. For each experience, students study on our Sacramento campus with a small group of approximately 25 dedicated students and faculty. Students are encouraged to find a program that meets their academic interests and have a major or minor. Note that not all QAS tests provide reliability in POL; Please review the syllabus for the QAS experience you are interested in.

Best Internships 2021
SOAR will have three training cycles (Winter/Spring/Summer) at a cost of $5,333 per cycle. Students can apply for a maximum of $1,000 per scholarship application/quarter. Students can apply this scholarship multiple times during the school year. Funding will be allocated on a case-by-case basis with the consideration of the commission. Priority will be given to housing, application fees, books and technical equipment, and other educational expenses. Undergraduate and graduate students from all majors are encouraged to apply. Students must complete an application in full to be considered.
