The UPC Art Committee is proud to bring back the annual Student Photography Contest and submissions are open! The photos are showing, and now it’s time for you to vote for your fan favorite. Vacations will be on display at the William T. Kemper Foundation Art Gallery from March 8th through March 31st, so stop by, view the exhibits and cast your vote! Winners of the fan favorites and top three submissions will be announced by April 3.

On Friday, March 31 every day until 6pm you have a chance to win a prize. 100 Golden Eggs is open on Friday March 31st in the Bosco Student Plaza from 6-8pm. Groups of K-State students had 48 hours to create an original short story as part of a filmmaking competition. After being converted into a short film, a panel of professional filmmakers judges the film according to set criteria. Now, we’re hosting a red carpet fashion premiere for everyone to see! Prizes will be awarded in several categories, including the Audience Choice Award! You won’t want to miss the (lighting, camera, and) action!

New Kansas City band Quite Frankly will be performing in the Student Union Courtyard on Friday, March 3rd with special guests Malik Azrael and the Webbs! Bring your friends and join UPC for exciting music! Doors open at 6:30. The festival is free and open to the public.
“Harry Potter Dessert” theater is back! The Union Program Council is proud to announce that Desert Theater will be held in the “Harry Potter Room,” the Great Room of Hale Library! Come enjoy magical world desserts like Chocolate Frog, Butterscotch, Pansy Potion, and more! We’ll also be hosting a variety of activities throughout the event, such as trivia, a costume contest, a custom hat, and more! UPC is excited to host on-the-spot improv throughout the event.

Xavier Gayden is a watercolor and digital artist based out of Kansas City. Beginning the first week of classes, his work will be displayed in the William T. Kemper Art Gallery in the Student Union. A reception for the artists is scheduled for Thursday, February 16 at 8:00 pm at the gallery. Refreshments provided.
