Keeneland ‘eager To Welcome Fans,’ Unveils Spring Meet Ticketing Plans
Again, all general admission, reserved seating and dining tickets must be purchased in advance online at the official Keeneland Box Office at tickets.Keeneland.com or on the Keeneland Race Day app.
Demand for tickets is high, but reserved grandstand and general admission tickets are still available. Keeneland offers a ticket refund policy 48 hours prior to race day, so inventory is automatically updated and available for purchase. Fans are encouraged to check tickets.Keeneland.com frequently for updates and sign up for ticket alerts.
In addition, season passes that provide general admission to the entire meeting are available for $40. Season tickets can be purchased until Tuesday, April 5.

No tickets or reservations are required for Keeneland’s popular Free Zone on the Hill, which is open Fridays and Saturdays and offers a unique way to experience the spring meet. Keeneland To Open At Full Capacity For Fall Meet
“Today at Keeneland.” This 30 minute preview show includes handicapping and discussion of interesting horses. Racing analysts Gabby Gaudet and Scott Hazelton host the show, which airs live at 11:30 a.m. each race day on Keeneland.com, Keeneland Select, the Keeneland YouTube Channel, TVG2, The CW Lexington and WKYT.com.
TVG: Comprehensive, live coverage of all Keeneland races begins at 1 p.m. when the first post is at 1:00 p.m. On April 9 and 29, if Keeneland’s first post is at 12:30 p.m., TVG coverage will begin at that time.

Keeneland’s Guide To Keeneland
These Keeneland initiatives expand the partnership that began during the 2020 Fall Meeting with the founding of DRF en Español.
Returning this season is the Keeneland Turf Pick 3, which was well-received during its debut during the 2021 fall meeting. The bet, which requires a $3 minimum, is offered on the last three turf races of the day.
On Opening Day, Lafayette, Kentucky Utilities Transylvania (G3) and Central Bank Ashland will be in the Pick 4 and Pick 5. The Kentucky Utilities Transylvania will be part of the Keeneland Turf Pick 3.
Keeneland Spring Meet Begins April 8
The following day, the Toyota Blue Grass will complete the All-Stakes Pick 4 and All-Stakes Pick 5.
Saturday’s races at Keeneland will also be included in the New York Racing Association Cross Country Multi-Race Stakes.

Keeneland Spring Meet 2022
Wednesday, April 13, 20 and 27: WINS-Day competition sponsored by Malone’s. It’s an inexpensive way for beginners to get a taste of the competition. Drop in for $10 at Wagering Central on the first floor of the grandstand and claim a legendary $2 win and bet, no real money required, on Keeneland races 3-8.
Friday, April 22: Spring Handicap Challenge. Available at the track only, the Spring Handicap Challenge offers a spot in the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge (BCBC) in November at Keeneland and up to four spots in the 2023 National Handicap Challenge. Saturday April 23: 1st Primary Game. The Spring Meet’s signature handicap event is the Grade 1 Gamble, which Keeneland presents in association with XpressBet, NYRABets, 4NJ Bets and TVG on the day of the Elkhorn (G2) and Ben Ali (G3). The entry fee is $3,500, with $2,500 going to the live fund and $1,000 to the prize fund. The Spring Meet’s world-class racing is complemented by a special calendar of events that provides entertainment for fans of all ages and interests while continuing Keeneland’s mission to support the Central Kentucky community. Highlights include:
Friday 8th April: University Scholarships Day presented by Lane’s End. Day college students can spend a day at the races for a chance to win scholarships and prize packages provided by local businesses. Any student who pre-registers is eligible to win one of ten $2,000 scholarships awarded by Keeneland and the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association. Students who attend Keeneland that day can win one of two $10,000 scholarships offered by Lane’s End. Pre-register online at www.Keeneland.com/csd. Entry is free with university ID.
Saturday 9, 16 and 23 April: Sunrise. This Saturday morning show is family friendly and offers a unique insight into purebred dogs in training. Children’s activities on the first floor grandstand from 8 to 10 a.m. include a meet and greet with the Keeneland mascot, Buckles, face painting, games and more. Fans can enjoy coffee and donuts at Clockers Corner while watching the horses train. There will be mini tours at the welcome stand in the paddock. A 30-minute demonstration by the equestrian education organization will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Aro de Camiño.
Keeneland Live Racing: How To Watch Spring Meet
Saturday April 9: autograph signing rider. Fans will meet active and retired Keeneland jockeys and Hall of Famers at the event benefiting the Disabled Jockeys Foundation (PDJF).
