Jmu Summer Classes 2023 – The James Madison University School of Theater and Dance is proud to partner with DanceWorks Chicago (DWC) to present The Next Step – Summer Dance Intensive. We and DanceWorks Chicago offer these intensive students two exciting program options to participate in.

These two dance intensives are specially designed for committed and interested students aged 12 and up. Participants will study with nationally and internationally recognized artists and experts and gain real-world experience training in the repertoire of a professional dance company!

If you are a dancer under the age of 15 and would like to participate in the 6-day intensive, please contact Matt Pardo (@pardomj) to submit a video to be accepted into the program.

* These prices are for a double room in a dormitory and include 3 meals a day in the dining room.

House Of Delegates Hinges Higher Ed Funding On Tuition

Next Steps will provide a limited number of need-based scholarships for the Summer Intensive 2023. Scholarships are awarded by completing the Next Steps Scholarship Form by the deadline of May 20, 2023. Award notifications are will be mailed on or before May 23, 2023, and prize winners will receive a refund of the prize amount by check in the mail. All fees are 100% refundable until June 1, 2023

James Madison University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) offers Undergraduate Development Awards of up to $2,000 to encourage undergraduate students’ creative or academic agendas and support their service activities.

Proposals can be submitted individually or on behalf of a team; The Principal Investigator must be a full-time CVPA graduate student Although students may be part of multiple Undergraduate Development Award proposals as members of a research team, they will be eligible for a Development Award degree as principal investigator each year.
