High School Spring Break 2023 – Dearborn Public Schools is updating its calendar for the upcoming school year, including the transition to spring break and the last school day in 2023.
As has been the case for several years, the school year will begin again with a half-day on the Monday before Labor Day, which this year falls on August 29.

Student breaks include a four-day weekend during Labor Day and Election Day in November and Wednesday through Friday Thanksgiving weekend. The holidays are unusually late this year. With Christmas coming on Sunday, the first day off will be December 26, with the break continuing until January 6, 2023.

Students leave for Martin Luther King Day in January, a four-day weekend in February for Midwinter
Spring Break will be extended by one week compared to the original calendar. The 2023 break will now be from March 27-31. This is aligned with Wayne County’s joint RESA calendar.
With the change to Spring Break, the district is also adding a separate day on April 7, 2023 for Good Friday. This extra day postpones the last day of school to June 15, 2023.
