Swedish designer Gudrun Sjödén has been creating beautiful, functional, eco-style homewear for women of all ages since the mid-1970s. Today the textile artist, who is seventy years old, has gained a cult following among women around the world who appreciate her unique designs. She maintains a practical approach to design and usually treasures her scrap books and travel memories that inspire the collections.
Swedish Summer Textiles By Gudrun Sjoden
The Christmas collection was launched on November 14 and weaves together stories and different craft techniques that Gudrun and her design team were inspired by during her years of travel.
The result is colors that symbolize different parts of our entire world. Gudrun Sjödén came up with ocher yellow for Mexico, ecru and blizzard for the Arctic, agave green for South America, red for China and gray green for the Nordics. This is a patterned collection that embraces everything from exclusive silks to brilliant winter pieces and warming layering pieces in wool to home textiles for a cozy weekend.
