For example, recently embroidered jeans were the new fashion trend. This would have been a more expensive trend because jeans are not cheap! Also, the trend fizzled out pretty quickly, leaving many people with a pair of jeans that don’t feel very relevant anymore.
Instead, adding an embroidered scarf or skipping the trend altogether could be a better use of your money.

Rib knitting is just that. A soft knit fabric that has “ribs” or raised vertical stripes in the texture of the fabric.
In this fabric you can find many basic tops, t-shirts and dresses. They make a great base piece while the ribs add some texture!

For the second fall/winter season in a row, I can almost say that this is by far the trendiest color.
We realized that rust can vary in whether it’s orange or red, so if you know your color season and want to incorporate this trend, pay attention to which shade you’re looking for.
The current trend on this style is oversized, sloppy buttons. Tuck a button partially into your jeans and you’ll instantly add a touch of classic elegance to your outfit!
Fall/winter 2022/23 Fashion Trends For Women Over 50
What I mean by base layering is this: tailored layers like jumpsuits and t-shirts that are often layered with loose whole pieces like button-downs or cardigans.
If you’re like me, you might be a little on the fence about this trend. But if you check out your favorite store, you probably won’t be able to escape the turtleneck or mock neck styles.
The upside is that if you live in a cold climate, you can’t go wrong with extra coverage!

I love this length especially on taller women, but even if you’re not tall or just want a more modest length this fall and winter, look no further.
Midi dresses and skirts (especially with layers or ruffles, see trend #16 below) are in many stores this season!

Don’t panic, skinnies are NOT coming out. But there are so many other popular silhouettes right now, especially straight legs!
Don’t let me lose you here, because here’s a truth you have to face: puff sleeves are IN. SO IN. You will not walk away from them.
These tops/dresses are a little less versatile for fall and winter as cardigans often look bulky over puff sleeves. However, a thicker cardigan or jacket such as a denim jacket or biker jacket is still a good option for layering in the colder months, so you can layer these pieces all year round.
